Introduction: Health sciences students are five times more likely to engage in binge drinking than their peers, in addition to presenting low physical activity levels and a high perception of stress. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of the Universidad Saludable (Healthy University) plan on risk behavior among students and nursing staff at the Universidad Metropolitana in Barranquilla, Colombia. Methodology: Quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental, descriptive, and longitudinal design. Results: In the pre-test, no students showed an optimal or positive attitude; however, following the intervention, 96.8% achieved a positive attitude and 2.3% an optimal one. Regarding perception, 47.9% were indifferent and 40.1% negative, whereas in the post-test, 96.8% achieved a positive perception. On the other hand, faculty and administrative staff completely eliminated indifferent and negative levels. Conclusion: It was evidenced that the Universidad Saludable plan positively modified both attitude and risk perception.
