Corrections and Retractions Policy
Concordia, Revista de Administraci贸n y Educaci贸n is committed to preserving the integrity, accuracy, and transparency of the scholarly record. Consequently, the journal may issue corrections, errata, expressions of concern, or retractions when errors or ethical breaches are identified in published articles.
The journal recognizes the following editorial actions:
- Erratum: Published when an error is introduced by the journal during the editing, typesetting, layout, or publication process, provided it does not affect the article's results or conclusions.
- Corrigendum: Issued when authors identify involuntary errors in their published work, such as minor data inaccuracies, incomplete references, or errors in tables, figures, or wording, that do not invalidate the primary findings.
- Expression of Concern: Published when there is a reasonable suspicion of research misconduct or substantial error, but the editorial investigation has not yet reached a definitive conclusion.
- Retraction: Applied when an article exhibits severe flaws that invalidate its results, conclusions, or scientific integrity. Reasons for retraction include plagiarism, data duplication, fabrication, manipulation of results, lack of informed consent, undisclosed conflicts of interest, or gross ethical misconduct.
Retraction Procedure: Retracted articles will remain in the journal鈥檚 digital archive to maintain the history of the scholarly record but will be clearly watermarked or identified as "RETRACTED." A linked explanatory note will be published detailing the reasons for the editorial decision. All retraction and correction requests are evaluated by the Editorial Committee following principles of transparency, due process, and communication with all involved parties.
Complaints and Appeals Process
Concordia, Revista de Administraci贸n y Educaci贸n guarantees the right of authors, reviewers, readers, institutions, and other stakeholders to submit complaints or appeals regarding the editorial process, peer review, ethical conduct, publication outcomes, or potential irregularities.
Submission Procedure: Complaints must be sent to the journal鈥檚 official email address and must include a clear description of the case, supporting arguments, and, where applicable, documentary evidence.
The Editorial Committee will acknowledge receipt and assess the merit of the complaint. Depending on the nature of the case, additional information may be requested from authors, reviewers, editors, or other relevant parties.
Possible Outcomes: The procedure may result in one of the following:
- Dismissal of the complaint due to lack of merit.
- Request for supplemental information.
- Editorial correction.
- Reconsideration of an editorial decision.
- Initiation of an internal investigation.
- Issuance of a formal correction, expression of concern, or retraction.
- Notification of the author's affiliated institution, if necessary.
All decisions will be formally communicated to the parties involved. The journal ensures that all complaints are handled with impartiality, confidentiality, respect, and in strict adherence to international best practices in editorial ethics.
